Curriculum Vitae
Joshua Kochis is an artist from Southeast Michigan. His professional creative practice is focused on public sculpture. Joshua's most recent work, Phantom Limb, can be found in Shelby Park, Nashville, TN. It was installed in 2024 and is still standing at just about fifty feet tall. His sculpture titled Bouquet is part of the collection at Michigan Legacy Art Park in Thompsonville, MI, where he participated as the 2021 Artist in Residence. His work has been shown most notably at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, among other galleries and institutions across the Midwest. He has worked as a fabrication specialist and studio instructor at Pewabic Pottery since 2017. He received his BFA from the University of Michigan School of Art & Design in 2015. Joshua is based in Detroit, MI.
